About K Kane
Katherine Kane has had a love affair with jewelry since childhood. At 8 years old she began making beaded jewelry for friends and family, and when she turned 11 she enrolled in adult metalsmithing classes at a local arts center. After graduating from Trinity College (CT) in 2005, Katherine spent five years working in marketing at legendary diamond jeweler Harry Winston. In 2008, Katherine went looking for a pendant featuring her initials and could not find anything that reflected her personal style. Using a calligraphy pen and a jeweler’s saw, Katherine created the first K Kane Signature Pendant for herself, and soon after requests from friends and strangers began flooding in. In 2010, Katherine left Harry Winston to pursue an MBA from Duke University, where she continued to develop K Kane through Duke’s entrepreneurship programs.
Today, K Kane’s unique and beautiful personalized creations allow customers to celebrate themselves and their loved ones in style. Katherine’s monogram pieces are considered by her customers to be wearable art, or personal logos for women who want to make a statement with an accessory that is highly original. While most personalized jewelry on the market is created from computer generated fonts, Katherine designs each initial combination as an original artwork based on the specific letter combination. K Kane is available for purchase at an exclusive set of high-end retailers throughout the U.S, including Neiman Marcus Direct and Ron Robinson at Fred Segal.
