A Bit About

Our Origins

Katherine Kane’s dream of designing jewelry was hatched in her childhood when she began selling her beaded creations at the end of her driveway. At eleven she graduated from beading to metalsmithing when she was able to enroll in adult metalwork classes at a local art center, and at eighteen she had her first view into the world of fine jewelry in a summer job at a jewelry store on Martha’s Vineyard. After college, Katherine worked for legendary diamond jewelry house Harry Winston for 5 years, where she learned and fell in love with diamonds.

The K Kane brand was born in 2010 when Katherine designed and carved a monogram necklace for herself, and friends and strangers began to request them. The collections are now available for sale at an exclusive set of retailers in the US and Japan, including Neiman Marcus. Celebrity fans of the brand include Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera, Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade and Naomi Watts, among many others.
